Salisbury Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp minced onion
  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 12 oz cream of mushroom soup 1 can
  • 6 oz water 1/2 can

Instructions

  • Combine ground beef with cream of mushroom soup and shape into oval patties about 1 inch thick. 
  • Brown on both sides in a little oil. Combine soup and water and pour over meat. 
  • Cook slowly in covered skillet 25 minutes. You can put potatoes around the meat as well. Soup and meat juices will make gravy.
